Highlights 

 

  • A strong boat from when boats were made from good materials and fibreglass boats were molded solidly

  •  Keel molded in as part of the hull

  • Well maintained and renovated by professional boat builder

  • Very spacious and standing headroom of 2 meters

  • Heaps of light and fresh air from 18 portlights and 6 skylights

  • A very calm and comfy boat even in high seas

  • In February 2024, we will be giving the boat a brush up both inside and outside after 3,5 years of usage, so it's all ready for it's new owners to go sailing.

​Sails

  • Mainsail from 2019  (Dacron sail cloth) full length fibreglass battens and Ronson batten cars

  • Genoa from 2019 (Hydronet. This means that the fabric is reinforced with Dynema line, so the sail is incredibly strong, and will not be torn further if it gets a tear.

  •  The storm jib is from 1988, and we are quite amazed that it still holds up in all weather despite its age.

  • Large symmetrical Spinnaker always stored dry and warm available in Copenhagen

Miscellaneous

  • No Autopilot (never had one, but can easily be installed)

  • Needs a new sprayhood - mostly for cosmetic reasons

Boatbuilder's comments

 

  • The bottom should be sanded down to the fiberglass because the many layers of bottom paint have accumulated over the years.

  • We have a cutout of the hull from when the bow thruster was installed. In that cut-out, it is clear to see that the "barrier layer", the first hand-laid quantity of fiberglass mats, has a higher percentage of resin. This is important to be able to see, as the barrier layer is crucial to whether a boat is at risk of osmosis or not.

  • If you are looking for a sailboat with features like a larger Hallberg Rassy, but at a lower price, then you can buy Hvalodea, a solidly classic with a center cockpit, strong hull and nice teak interiour
